In October we will have several guests working at Eclipse Tattoo. Following you’ll find some information about them, and also visit their instagram accounts to take a look at their work. 

El primer guest de este mes estará aquí los días 2 y 3 de octubre. Se trata de Palladinski, un artista multidisciplinar procedente de Gdansk. Lleva tatuando desde 2011 y sus obras están influenciadas principalmente por el graffiti. En sus propias palabras: «Habitualmente me inspiro en todo lo que me rodea: arquitectura, trenes, naturaleza y todo tipo de criaturas humanoides».

Our first guest this month will be here on days 2 and 3 of October. He is Palladinski, a multidisciplinary artist based in Gdańsk. He has been tattooing since 2011 and his works are influenced mainly by graffiti. In his own words: «These days I get inspired by everything that surrounds me: architecture, trains, nature and all types of humanoid creatures».

Nuestro siguiente guest, Tristan Marler (@manawa_tapu), llegará al estudio el día 7 y estará tatuando aquí hasta el día 9. Tristan, de ascendencia Te Rarawa de Hokianga (en el extremo norte de Nueva Zelanda), empezó su formación realizando Whakairo Rakau (talla tradicional de madera). En el tattoo su especialidad es el Tā Moko, que combina con su conocimiento de la talla, así como el tejido de Tukutuku y Tāniko. Todo ello confluye en su estilo de tatuaje.

Our next guest will arrive at the studio on the 7th and stay until the 9th. We are talking about Tristan Marler (@manawa_tapu) who is of Te Rarawa descent, from the Hokianga in the far North of New Zealand. He is trained in Whakairo Rakau (traditional wood carving). Tristan specialises in Tā Moko and blends his knowledge of carving as well as Tukutuku and Tāniko weaving to influence his style.

Del 10 al 12 de octubre nuestra invitada será Totemica. Le hemos preguntado sobre su trabajo e influencias y esto es lo que nos ha explicado: «Crecí en un pequeño pueblo en medio del campo, así que siempre me ha fascinado la naturaleza y la conexión que podemos tener con ella. Estoy muy interesada en la alquimia, la magia, el simbolismo esotérico, los instrumentos médicos antiguos, la vida y la muerte, así que trato de incorporar esos elementos visuales en mis obras con una mezcla de líneas finas, sombras suaves y negro sólido».

From the 10th to the 12th of October our guest will be Totemica. We’ve asked her about her work and influences and this is what she told us: «I grew up in a small village in the middle of the countryside, so I’ve always been fascinated with nature and the connection we can have with it. I am very interested in alchemy, magic, esoteric symbolism, old medical instruments, life & death so I try to incorporate those visual elements in my works with a mix of fine lines, soft shading and some heavy black».

Mikel Edorta, de Aizkora Tattoo en Pamplona, estará en Eclipse los días 17 a 19. Se considera un amante y estudioso del tatuaje clásico. Desde la investigación constante, trata de comprender y asimilar la amplísima herencia que los tatuadores clásicos han dejado para la posteridad. Trabaja la técnica y la ejecución en el tatuaje, buscando siempre un resultado limpio y sólido. Tatuajes que permanezcan en el tiempo.

Mikel Edorta, from Aizkora Tattoo in Pamplona, will be guesting at Eclipse on days 17th to 19th. He considers himself a lover and student of the classic tattoo style. Through constant research, he tries to understand and assimilate the vast heritage that classic tattoo artists have left for posterity. He works the technique and the execution in his tattoos, always looking for a clean and solid result. Tattoos that remain in time.

El 21 y hasta el 23 nuestro invitado será el tatuador argentino Facundo Ceballos. Se especializa en tatuajes ornamentales y geométricos.

On the 21st and until the 23rd our guest will be the argentinian tattooer Facundo Ceballos. He specializes in ornamental and geometrical tattoos.

Sean Gamil, invitado del 24 al 26 de octubre, trabaja en el estudio de tatuajes Familee Tattoo en Malta. Su blackwork muestra un reflejo de texturas rústicas inspiradas en las esculturas que solía hacer antes de comenzar su carrera como tatuador y, también, en su colección personal de calaveras y taxidermia. Aparte de esto, también se refleja su entusiasmo por las leyendas y las criaturas místicas.

Sean Gamil, guesting from the 24th to the 26th, is established at Familee Tattoo studio in Malta. His blackwork shows a reflection of textures and rustic feels inspired by the sculptures he used to do before starting his tattooing career and, also, by his personal collection of skulls and taxidermy. Apart from this you can also notice his enthusiasm towards legends and mystic creatures.
